With the basics, the online version, ICT Lux offers a solution that is hosted and maintained/administered on the ICTLux network. E-mail addressed to your domain will be routed through the MailCleaner filter.

MailCleaner analyses your messages using a variety of filters. "Clean" messages are redirected to the original mailserver. Messages that are infected with a virus or that are detected as being SPAM are placed in quarantaine – of which you can later on decide to deliver them or not and list them in a report using the webinterface. By using this strategy you can rest assured that your mailserver woun't be suffering from an overload of messages containing virusses or SPAM.

How...

Changing the route followed by mail to your mailserver and to be rerouted first to the MailCleaner is done by changing the MX record of your domain. The MX record is an element that tells any other mailserver around the world where to direct mail for that specific domainname. When your mail is filtered through MailCleaner, it will be redirected to your mailserver where it will be received immediately.

The advantage of this system is the simplicity of installing it and the data flow.
No changes are necessary on your mailserver or in the configuration of your email clients.

A simple change by your ISP or by your IT Team if your DNS servers are inhouse, and MailCleaner is ready to protect your mailboxes from loads of SPAM.

The user management interface is installed directly on the MailCleaner server. You can force certain messages, check the quarantaine or change the frequency of reporting using this interface.
